Public Participation Center takes off with symposium and website

On May 30, 2023 the Wubbo Ockels School and the Public Participation Center , in collaboration with New Energy Coalition organised the symposium ‘Citizen Assemblies’ in the House of Connections. The Public Participation Center offers a platform for citizens, governments, businesses and organisations, fellow researchers, and everyone else interested in public participation practices.

Website

The website of the Public Participation Center is now live! Whilst it may not be perfect, we are still working on it. Therefore, we are always looking for recent publications, upcoming events, or blog posts related to public participation in sustainability transitions to be featured on the website. If you would like to contribute in any way, please let us know at publicparticipationcenter@gmail.com.

What’s next

The topic of the upcoming symposium is ‘Digital Participation’. If you would like to be involved in the organisation of this event or have suggestions for speakers please let us know by sending an email to publicparticipationcenter@gmail.com.

Furthermore, based on the input during the symposium, we now have a list of exciting topics that can be featured in future symposiums. If you have other suggestions about interesting topics or would like to be involved in the organisation of future events, please drop us an email at publicparticipationcenter@gmail.com. We hope to see you soon as an attendee or co-organiser of future events.
